Cielomar's Immersive Virtual IOP

The Immersive Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program is a revolutionary online mental health program for individuals struggling with Eating Disorders. Utilizing videoconferencing along with an online video game for increased engagement, our team of specialists are able to provide the highest quality virtual treatment for Eating Disorders.
Clients attend treatment from home via videoconference, while also being inside an online video game, specially adapted for their needs. Clients customize their own avatars, interact, build their community, explore and play within the online environment, while forging real human connections with their treatment group.
Treatment takes place in the afternoon, so as to not interfere with school or work. Each day involves Group Therapy and Meal Support, along with Individual Sessions throughout the week. Monthly in-Person Field Trips further a sense of cohesion and real-life application of what they learn in treatment. We use Evidence-based Treatment methods featuring a combination of skills-based and depth approaches to provide holistic care for the whole person.
Immersive Virtual IOP Schedule

Our IOP Program offers a convenient schedule and a multidisciplinary, evidence-based treatment curriculum, combining Group Therapy, Individual therapy, Nutritional Counseling, Meal Support, and Family Support.
For those local to the San Francisco Bay Area, we also offer a monthly Experiential Outing on the second Saturday of each month for clients to spend time as a group in person, while practicing the skills and tools they are acquiring during treatment!
Why Immersive Virtual Treatment?
The Cielomar Immersive Virtual IOP takes place inside an online video game. We create an immersive, interactive experience that resonates with the digital natives of the world today. By meeting clients in a space where they feel comfortable and familiar, we foster greater engagement and participation in treatment. This increased involvement breaks down the barriers of traditional therapy and ultimately leads to better clinical outcomes.
Pairing simultaneous videoconferencing with the video game setting offers the best of both worlds, where clients connect with one another as people in real life, and as online peers.
